Installing S-Link-S Calculator

Platform requirements: Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 1.1 or higher

For Solaris/Windows, download and install the latest JRE from http://java.sun.com/products/jdk/1.1/jre/index.html

For Mac users, download and install the MRJ 2.1 SDK from http://developer.apple.com/java/text/download.html#sdk

S-Link-S Calculator is an application, not an applet. Opening it in a browser will not work.

Installing S-Link-S Calculator: Once you have installed the latest JRE or JDK or appropriate Java Runtime Environment,

For Solaris/Unix users:

1. Open a command line window
2. Move to the directory holding all the S-Link-S Calculator files
3. type jre -cp slinks.jar -cp oro.jar -cp xml4j.jar com.openly.SLinkS.TestSLinkS

For Windows users:

1. Open a command line (DOS) window
2. Move to the directory holding all the S-Link-S Calculator files
3. type jre -cp slinks.jar;oro.jar;xml4j.jar com.openly.SLinkS.TestSLinkS

1. Open up JBindery.
2. type com.openly.SLinkS.TestSLinkS in Class name box.
3. Click on Classpath icon.
4. Drag AppClasses.jar, oro.jar, xml4j.jar into classpath window, or add them manually
5. Save settings, after naming it something, as a double-clickable app.
6. Double click on your new application.

These steps should get S-Link-S Calculator running on your system.
